Most of my friends were having their residency already and this holy week is the only time that we'll be able to meet each other.

We initially plan to visit Pangasinan and tour Alaminos and Ian's home as well but due to a lot of reasons (i.e. schedule conflicts, unable to buy bus tickets, etc.) we decided to spend the holy week in Tagaytay instead.

I have been to Tagaytay for a couple of times but I have never tried Leslie's or Josephine's. My friends then opted to dine on either restaurant.

Tagaytay was so populated today. Traffic was everywhere. Super hassle. Good thing Leslie's Restaurant can still accommodate customers even though they have a lot of patrons today.

We ordered for a couple of spicy foods. 

The laing con hipon was ok. This one was not spicy but the shrimp was cooked well. 

Karen also wanted to try the seafood bicol express. I find the dish cool as well since I often eat bicol express that is made of pork. Anyway, the seafood bicol express is superb. A must try dish. It was not so spicy and very flavorful. My new fave.

Of course, we will never miss Tagaytay's famous bulalo... Yum! Yum!

More than the food we also enjoyed the serenade of the restaurant's house singers and acoustic players. We also had a great time catching up while waiting for the traffic to subside. 

Hay! You can never go wrong with great friends and great restaurant. Two thumbs up for Leslie's Restaurant.

This is the recent rave in our hometown and since my mom saw that there are a lot of patrons in this restaurant we opt to try it too.

OVERVIEW:

Tapsi ni Vivian is a carinderia type of restaurant that sells mostly tapsilog but they also sell other home cooked foods.

The one that we visited was located along Ortigas Ext. near Brookside Hills Subdivision in Cainta, Rizal. According to my friends, this one is the 2nd branch already. The first one was at Marikina.

SERVICE:

This is our second visit on Tapsi ni Vivian. During our first visit we arrived at around 9 or 10 am and it was weekday so the restaurant is not very jampacked. Thus, the staffs easily accomodate each and every customer and our orders were served in no time. However, during our second visit we arrived at around 10-11 am on a sunday. We had to do double parking because all the slots were taken plus the staff were busy with the numerous customers and the orders were not easily served. I commend the guard of the restaurant for he did  his job well during those times that we visited the area especially in arranging the parking of their customers.

During our first visit I ordered for lechon kawali silog while my mom ordered for dinuguan silog.

The lechon kawali silog is super worth the price. It was delicious and with many servings aa well. The way they cooked their egg is commendable... not well done but not very raw.

The dinuguan was also delicious. It was cooked the way we wanted it.

During our second visit my mother ordered for the same combo. I ordered for adobo silog and my sister ordered for their tapsilog.

Their adobo silog is ok. It taste good but I like the lechon kawali better.

As for their tapsilog, my sister and I find it quite sweet. For me, tapa king's better.

Really had a great time dining here. Someday, I'll try their calamares. It looks delicious. For those who want to try their food I personally suggest that you eat during those time where the place was not so jampacked so you'll enjoy your stay better.

Who would not have read about Cebu's famous Lartian where a lot of grilled foods were served. I have visited Lartian lasy year and I wanted to bring my family there as well but a friend of mine suggested a better option- Matia's Bbq Food Haus.

My friend told me that dince we came from J. Centre Mall it will be easier for us to have our dinner at Matia's instead since Lartian is far fron the area plus Matia's also have the same grilled foods like Lartian's minus the concrete ceiling.

I liked Matia's Bbq Food Haus better than Lartian's. The taste amd price of the food were similar but the venue and ambiance was better at Matia's. The service was also better. Although, Matia's is more populated but they have parking space allotted for their visitors unlike Lartian's who have none.

To sum it all up, I enjoyed Martia's Bbq Food Haus better. They have more organized food selling and staff. They serve great food, the place was very spacious and can accomodate a lot of patrons and they have a parking lot.
