SJDH Annual Interns case Presentation

Journey to PLE Journal # 20

Today is the Annual Case Presentation of San Juan de Dios Hospital... While the presentor say her piece I had a chance to chat with Kat, 1st year OB resident. We sort of talked about me going to have my review on May. One of the things that she said strucked me. And I quote her, "Ang lapit na. Yung review ienjoy mo ha. Ok naman yun eh kasi kahit papaano hawak mo yung oras mo basta parte partehen mo kasi madami. Basta ang isipin mo na lang e yung ibang doktor nga alam tong mga inaaral ko ngayon dapat alam ko rin! Kasi magagamit mo naman talaga sya kahit hindi man lumabas sa boards gagamitin mo din sya sa practice."

Sometimes, when you are near something that you are very aware that it will be a turning point in your life you just need someone to make you realize that what you will go thru will all be worth it. Right now that random conversation with Kat really gave a tap on the back and sort of relieve as well. Probably that was one of the reason why God let me watch the intern's case inspite all the negative stuffs that happened yesterday. On the other hand, watching how the presentors presented their case made me miss presenting case reports. Soon... For now, boards muna.

Congrats guys! (:

Day 18: Progress

January 18, 2013

Day 18: Progress

Seeing a sick person is such a distress on a doctor’s part. But when you see a patient improve, no mater how gradual that is, was such a relief.

We have a patient who undergo PT and OT sessions for she has dementia. She was an elderly and you can barely understand her phrases when we visit her every morning. But this afternoon it was different. She was brought at the center for another session  and while doing her PT she was so noisy probably due to pain or something. It was bearable but sort of annoying… After her PT her OT session commence. Her therapist do the blowing candle test and she enjoyed it. Her happiness fill the area while she was doing the exercise and it was contagious. I really hope she get well soon.

As mentioned, yesterday was my first super gloomy day of the year and I share my emotion outburst with my close friends today. Well, I am just thankful to my Lord for giving me great and wonderful friends. After all the drama and stuffs I realized that I just need a reassurance and Cla gave that just when I needed it most.

To Cla, yes. I feel the same. You will always be special amidst the distance. Love you friend! Thanks J

Day 14: Tissue Moments

January 14, 2013

Day 14: Tissue Moments

I used to let my friends write a note for me or anything in a tissue paper offered in the restaurant that we used to dine in. I was cleaning our house and surprised to see my old tissue notes again… I was just so touched with Randyh’s old note: “Rosa, alam mo namang isa kang batong di na matitinag sa buhay ko…”
So sweet! J

There was also a quotation at Eat, Pray Love which I wrote in  tissue… probably a note to self…
“People think that a soulmate is a perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soulmate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that’s holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soulmate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. Soulmates came into your lives just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then they leave. If you clear out all the space in your mind that you’re using to obsess about your soulmate, you’ll have a vauum there, an open spot  a doorway. And guess what the universe will do with that doorway? God will rush in and fill you with more love than you ever dreamed. So stop using your soulmate to block the door. Let it go! J

Day 11: Musings

Day 11: Musings

Well, the fun never stops.

I went to shopping with mom today.
Bonding!
Fun!

At night, I got a message from a friend.

Absence makes the heart go fonder. How I wish this applies all the time. However, sometimes absence just make you forgotten. I am just happy that a friend reminded me that he’s not going anywhere – always beside me even virtually.

(with Randyh at Starbucks' Camp John Hay, Baguio City 4 years ago)

Day 1. Message

January 1, 2013

Day 1: Message in a cellphone

I treasure conversations and friendship more than anything else and I always make it a point to make those people that matters to me feel that somehow. I sent personalized messages last night to selected friends and I was just relieved with a friend’s reply this morning… I honestly cannot remember how we became so close but no matter how that came to happen in no longer important. All I know was that ours was a friendship for keep. And, even though we may not spend much time together I can be very much assured that he will always be behind my back and for that I will always be thankful…

Affirm the positive, visualize the positive and expect the positive, and your life will change accordingly.

Bittersweet Symphony Verse 2: Organized Clutter

This is basically the same template as my version 1. I just edited few codes and add more icons and blog pets as well (see bottom of page). But then my scatterbrain still needs her notepad so I'm sticking with this. (:

Feel free to browse thru my musings/rants/escapades as I tour around my country (and hopefully beyond)... Enjoy! :)
